About the 1992 pub date for the Rebel edition, that is not stated in the book, just pieced together from memory and surmise. Also in that edition, we have copyright claimed by Osho Foundation International, a reversal of their usual name, OIF. Also a pic of Osho on tracing paper, in the fashion of Signatures on Water.
About "self-published", this is also a memory, likely somewhat less reliable than those which constructed the pub date.
The epilogue in that Rebel edition is written in the form of a multi-part fairy tale, thus it is not factual but intended to convey a mythic taste and proportion.
