- Champak was teaching at a school when he discovered a 5-part series about Rajneeshpuram. He got intrigued and realised that the essential information was missing: who was Osho? And why thousands of people were pulled there? Champak started his own research. By reading and listening directly to Osho, Champak was deeply touched. He decided to start collecting the first editions of Osho’s books and slowly the project took the form of a research and archive centre. Today Champak is looking forward to working with academic institutions to catalogue and curate the archive and create an Osho exhibit that can be shared with the public in the future.
- Today our guest is Swami Prem Champak. Champak took sannyas in 2012 and is the Director of the Osho Research and Archive Center in Portland, Oregon. Champak is a historian, archivist, teacher, and spiritual seeker. By collecting physical objects and artefacts, Champak aims to keep the stories of the sannyasins who lived in Rajneeshpuram alive. Champak is dedicated to educating the public about the true essence and the spiritual element of Osho, which is too often sensationalised or ignored.
