This letter is one of a remarkable series of over 2650 letters amassed in 1983 to support Osho's attempt to get permanent resident status in the US at the time of the Oregon ranch. The image is reproduced here with the kind permission of The Oregon Historical Society. Information about their collection of these letters and other supporting material -- the "Jeffrey Noles Rajneesh Collection", named for Osho's immigration lawyer Jeffrey Noles, who compiled them in 1983 and donated them to the OHS -- can be found at this page. The wiki is grateful to the OHS for making access available for these documents. For more information and links to all the letters, see Testimonial letters.

This letter is from Ma Anand Vira. It is "Exhibit A-2706" in the Noles collection.

The text version below has been created by optical character recognition (OCR), from the images supplied by OHS. It has not been checked for errors but this process usually results in over 99% correct transcription. Most apparent "errors" are correct transcriptions of typos already in the original. The image on the right in the text box links to a pdf file of the original letter, it has one page.

To whom it may concern,

the main:
getting clear,
becoming straight,
courageous enough to be oneself
risking and showing
taking the chance or faking it
because it’s all on you.
There’s nothing as wonderful in the world as cookies,
no sweeter temptation since Bhagwan.
Feeling that transformation is happening!
You nevver know how deep he will cut you,
when you come near to him,
but pain will change into sweetness:
candies of enlightenment
sometimes they have a bitter heart
which is going to have a sweet center
-so what.

There is nothing to loose except everything,
there is nothing to drop but the master
there is nothing to find but the master key
-give it a try.
We are worshipping in the army now,
killing with love,
loving while beating it.
I love you, yet I can’t stand your face, still:
looking into your eyes I’ll find him.
I am cleaning the floor and it is like creating a painting,
drying the dishes feels like shining the shoes of my beloved.

Oh, it’s so religious:
Gacchamis are peaks of the day,
it’s like putting my head in his lab
and he wraps me in the wonder of existence,
showering rose petals.
Feeling like a child which is joining the dance of friends:
She was looking for a while from the outside,
then stepped forward,
and now the delicious feeling,
the circle opens and you become a part.
Sharing and individuation
two sides of the same coin.
