I consider ''The Book'' a work by sannyasins about Osho because it contains "definitions" of terms, almost like a piecemeal philosophy. I would say, whenever we use Osho quotes to construct a mind set about Him or the world, it should stay in the Sannyas Bibliography. Of course there are many compilations out there, but they are not primarily used to prove the authors point of view about certain topics. Okay. I see the reversions have happened. So be it. I wasn't aware that a significant amount of ''The Book'' had an ideological flavour. The rationale regarding the choice of categories seems sound -- especially in using ''Rajneeshism'' as a supreme exemplar -- but i guess it does not apply to ''[[The ABC of Enlightenment]]'' (semi-derived from ''The Book'') since that was not reverted. The basis of that non-event would presumably be that whatever ideological slants and axe-grindings were present in ''The Book'' have been edited out and/or balanced by the material from newer books. (However much the bumpf for ''The ABC'' refers to ''The Book'' as a classic.) | |||
These choices taken together might form a useful criterion or precedent, to use a legalistic term, to decide such cases in future. It seems that this book and its companions, Series II, Series III and The ABC (deriving from them), are more properly Osho-"written" compilations than books "about" Osho. I would re-categorize them myself but haven't much time and the whole format / template would have to be changed ("book" rather than "sanbook"). -- Sarlo (talk) 08:57, 24 March 2014 (PDT)
