When the commune of the Rajneesh Purvodaya Ashram and its associated Sannyas Verlag outgrew their premises at the Fongihof in Margaretenried, Bavaria (1975-1981), they moved to Schloß Wolfsbrunnen in Meinhard, Hessen in 1982 and named it Rajneeshstadt.
